BE BRAVE, MAKE CHANGE was the theme for National Reconciliaiton Week this year.

Our 13th of Reconciliation in the Park had a wonderful atmosphere as we came together to celebrate local First Nations communities, culture and sharing of skills and performances with the broad Geelong and surrounding community. This included the new Market @ Rec in the Park.

One Fire members and friends enthusiastically volunteered on the day.

Families, educators and community groups attended, with many people participating for their first time.

We thank all funders and sponsors, including City of Greater Geelong, Barwon Water, Geelong Connected Communities, Corangamite Catchment Management Authority and Reconciliation Victoria.

Feeback included -

Uncle Rob Bundle - musician: "Such a good feeling on this day, everyone is really together, you can feel love here".

Nikki McKenzie - Event Programmer:  "The Market was really successful for this first year. It's so good that they had a positive response and many sales. It will be good to grow this next year for local First Nations people."

Attendee: "I was impressed with the number of activities for children, and also with the number of children participating in them with real interest and concentration. Such a worthwhile event."

One Fire member: "A great turn out and amazing event, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves."
